Adult Club Taster Session: 14.30-16.00
Who are the taster sessions for?
Our taster sessions are designed to introduce total beginners to the sport of kayaking and to give you a feel for our club. You’ll get to meet our members and coaches in and learn in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions are held at our site in Brentford, based on the River Thames with easy access to the Grand Union Canal. Our location is perfect for learning the basics in calm, sheltered water.
Do you provide equipment?
Yes! All kayaking equipment is provided, including kayaks, paddles, and buoyancy aids. We also have a limited number of immersion suits and water shoes available, although we can’t guarantee sizes for everyone.
Do you run any longer trips?
Yes! Check out our trips page if you’re after something longer or further afield. From day trips, weekend white water adventures to trips abroad.
What shall I bring?
We recommend dressing for the weather conditions and brining a complete change of clothes (just in case) we recommend leggings, shorts, long sleeved thermal base layer and a fleece top. Footwear should be slim soft soled shoes. Avoid chunky footwear that will make fitting into the kayak tricky.
We also recommend bringing a towel, some water, snacks and sun cream (if it’s sunny).
